The HITRUST e1 Certification is awarded following an independent assessment against a foundational set of security controls focused on essential cybersecurity practices. As physician groups and health systems adopt AI-enabled workflows across the revenue cycle, independent validation of how vendors secure protected health information has become a baseline requirement for adoption.
